About Duke

Duke is such a fun and sweet little boy. He absolutely adores people and likes to follow his human’s around the house. He loves meeting new people and loves playing with children as well. He loves going for walks and does great on a leash. He is also great at checking in with his humans on walks to make sure he is still a good boy.

Duke is bossy with other dogs in general and would prefer to be the only dog in the house. Duke is assertive when he meets another dog, he barks and lets them know he is the boss right away. He has shown that he can warm up to some dogs with time and proper introductions and supervision, but overall he would prefer to be with humans over other dogs.

In contrast, Duke doesn’t pay any attention to cats and happily co-exists with a feline friend in his foster home. He is also completely potty trained, and doing very well with crate training as well. He sometimes whines a bit at first when in his crate, but quickly settles in for a nap.

Duke would love to have a human of his own to curl up next to for movie nights, and receive endless pets and belly scratches. He would love to have someone who could be home with him lots to keep him company and keep reminding him that he is the goodest boy!
