Tara's Bio
Meowllo, friends. My name is Tara, like Buddhist Tara, and I am in search of my furever home!
My foster family and the volunteers at Pets Alive Niagara often tell me that I am a very lucky little lady. After being rescued from a backyard in Welland, I was very sick. Thankfully, some very nice humans took care of me, and I am now fully recovered from panleukopenia - a very aggressive and sometimes fatal disease brought on by infection from the feline parvovirus. Needless to say, I have used up 1 of my 9 lives.
I have grown into a wonderful, gentle kitten who enjoys giving love as much as receiving it.My favourite place to take my afternoon naps is my human’s lap, but I’ll also settle for a big pile of blankets on the bed, or in the sunshine. Somewhere warm and cozy is what I am after!
I do everything with grace and elegance, whether it is eating my food or getting up from sleep with a stretch, I do it all like a little princess.
For the most part, I am a very calm and quiet cat, but once in a while, I will squeak at you - just to get your attention. You may mistake me for a door if you’re not paying attention! Like my siblings, I can make almost anything that falls onto the floor into a game.
My ideal home is one with a loving family that is able to remind me of just how lucky I am to be alive and healthy. One with a feline friend to play and snuggle with would be preferable, too!
I can’t wait to make some new friends in my life adventure! Where will I go next?
Tara's Adoption Fee | $149.00
The feline adoption fees help cover the costs associated with rescuing, such as vetting, food, kitty litter and other expenses.
Prior to adoption, cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and given flea treatment. In short, they receive any necessary treatment.
For more information about adoption fees, please review our Adoption FAQs & Fees page. Alternatively, you can email us and communicate with our Adoption Coordinator.
Why We Love Fostering
-
Fostering gives me the opportunity to share a journey with an animal who has no one else. Without people like me these dogs may not get a second chance at feeling safe and finding a stable, loving forever home. I remember each of them vividly and we have a special bond.
