Malcolm's Bio
Hello, world. My name is Malcolm! I am a very handsome boy looking for my fur-ever home.
I was abandoned by my previous family and dumped in a neighbourhood in Smithville. I found this woman who seemed really nice and asked for her help. She rescued me and brought me to Pets Alive Niagara - where I am now! This may be the reasoning behind my neediness. I can’t help it, I always want some love! (And some food…)
On the second night of staying with my foster mom, I was curled up in her lap, taking a snooze and posing for photos (as you can see in my profile photo).
I’m super chatty and love to have conversations with people, especially when I’m looking for attention (which is always). I don’t love being picked up, but I will tolerate it, and I will not get angry, but I much prefer being cuddled up on or next to you!
I am gentle-natured, and although I haven’t lived with children I’m sure we would get along just great - as long as they are gentle with me.
I am super friendly so I’d probably get along with other animals, but I think I’d thrive best as an only child because I want all the attention!
Something you should know is that I have a permanent limp. It has been checked out, and the veterinarian said it is an old injury that healed funny. So it is not a cause for concern!
I am a very clever boy and have used the litter box at my foster home with no accidents - though I do like to dig for gold in there, and have a tendency to fling litter outside the box, so a big litter box is best! Unfortunately I haven’t found any treasure... yet.
I may hide away for our first few days together, but within a week you will be wondering where that shy boy went, and we will be enjoying daily conversations and LOTS of cuddles.
I hope I find my fur-ever home soon, because I have so much love to give. If you think we’re a paw-fect match, please submit an application below!

Why We Love Fostering
-
Fostering opens you up to helping so many incredible animals. The dogs we have fostered all had different personalities, needs and quirks. We remember them all fondly. We love fostering because it is more flexible than most people would imagine. We can decide when to take a dog (so family vacations are easy to plan), what size (under 70lbs for us) and PAN is amazing at matching us with dogs that fit our needs.
