Eevee's Bio
Meowllo, hoomans! I'm Eevee - a 3-year-old domestic shorthair tabby in search of my furever home. I have been in foster care for almost one year, since it seems like many people overlook me. I was a stray for the early part of my life, but came into foster care to have my kittens. Now that my kittens are grown up and gone to furever homes of their own, it is my turn to find mine!
Since I was found outside with no human socialization, I took a bit of time to get acclimatized to living with humans. Nowadays, I have gotten the hang of this kitty-pet life. My foster mom says I have come so far – I hid for a long time, but now I go to the door to see who is coming to visit. I don’t even hide when there are strange humans in the house like the rest of the cats in my foster home do… except when that little human brings over his herd – they are loud!! As for those couches, I have learned they are super comfortable when you lay ON them rather than hide under them!
I love attention and pets, and playing with my toys. I even talk to my toys when I play (as you can see in the video). I am a sucker for affection, too!
I will take time to come around to a new family, but with a patient and calm household with loving humans, I’m sure it won’t take long. I enjoy the company of other felines but can also be independent, so I am indifferent about having a friend - though one may help me come out of my shell quicker!
My foster mom says I have the deepest purr she has ever heard, and I'd really like you to hear it too.
Eevee's Adoption Fee | $149
The feline adoption fees help cover the costs associated with rescuing, such as vetting, food, kitty litter and other expenses.
Prior to adoption, cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and given flea treatment. In short, they receive any necessary treatment.
For more information about adoption fees, please review our Adoption FAQs & Fees page. Alternatively, you can email us and communicate with our Adoption Coordinator.
Why We Love Fostering
-
I have always loved animals and I spoil my own pets enough, so I figured "Why not try fostering?" That's when everything changed. I found that fostering is incredibly rewarding, because not only do you care and love each cat that comes into your home, but you get to send them to their furever homes and see the adopter’s faces light up when they meet them. Building the foundation of the kitties is what makes fostering such a wonderful experience. There is truly nothing better.
