About Cables
Now that Cables has settled into his foster home after arriving from Mexico in November, he has proven himself to be very entertaining! From the hilarious way he flies around the house when he gets the zoomies to the cute way he rests his chin on his fosters’ laps and how quickly he comes running when they call the name of their other dog, Cables never misses out on any of the action! Cables is still young and has a lot of energy to burn, but having access to a fully fenced yard allows him to easily get his fill of exercise outside so that he can calm down when inside.
Positive reinforcement and redirection are helping to channel Cables’ energy and teach him to keep his mouth and paws off humans and countertops. His foster family is working on correcting these puppy-like behaviours, although doing so is ongoing and will take time. As such, as he transitions into his forever home, he will need a patient owner who is willing to keep on top of his training to ensure he continues to work toward being the best dog he can be.
Although Cables does not currently live in a home with children, he has proven himself to be mature and gentle with the children he has met so far, and he was even well-behaved when exposed to an infant.
Cables would do best in an active household with lots of love to give as he craves human attention and is super affectionate. Cables really knows how to relax as well and enjoys a good long nap, especially when he can get some shut-eye while lying on your lap! Cables is excellent in his crate but is only crated when his foster family is not home—he is well-behaved throughout the night and can usually be found curled up on the couch or under the dining table. Cables loves to follow his foster family around the house, snuggle up with them on the couch for some cuddles, and accompany them as they are out and about.
Cables really is a wonderful companion and will make a special adopter so incredibly happy!
Adoption Fee | $500
Adoption fees help cover the costs associated with rescues, such as vetting, boarding and transportation.
They also cover spay/neuter, heartworm testing and treatment (if necessary), rabies and DHLPP vaccines, and microchipping.
