About Koni
From Koni's foster…
”Koni is a sweet girl who craves love and attention. She is seeking a home with lots of cuddles and evening belly rubs! She is easy-going, and loves to go for walks and car rides. Though timid at first when meeting new dogs or people, she warms up to them quickly. Koni eats with enthusiasm. She is still learning manners around food (counter surfing). Koni is a very curious girl, and loves to follow her people around the house. She would love a home where there is someone home most of the day.”
Consider Koni to become your new best friend!

Why We Love Fostering
-
There is a special joy in seeing the transformation from fear to trust in a foster cat’s face and posture, the first time they relax and warm up to me. There is so much comedy in a litter of crazy kittens, rollicking and tumbling, learning how to be big cats. Each foster kitty has been cared for as if they were my own, and I enjoy the confidence in the feeling that they are ready for their forever home. That is the biggest difference between choosing to adopt from a small rescue rather than a shelter, and why I love volunteering. People often ask me how I can be so strong to let such sweet kitties go to adoption, but the feeling that I have space to help another is worth the emotional goodbye. Penny is the twenty-first cat I have helped, and I am not going to stop anytime soon! Fostering for Pets Alive is by far the most rewarding volunteering I have ever done.
Why We Love Fostering
-
We love fostering because the dogs bring so much love and joy into our home. Seeing them adjust to life in a home, come out of their shells and become their happy, playful selves is so rewarding. It's also a great feeling so see them got adopted by a home that will love them forever. The foster dogs also have a lot to teach us about resilience, adaptability, trust and unconditional love. They inspire us to be better versions of ourselves. If they can survive their histories while still being loving and happy, so can we.
