About Arthur
Arthur is a very fun and sweet dog. He loves cuddles and being close to you, and loves being able to run around in a yard. He’s very good with kids and seniors and any one that stops to see him he has to kiss. He doesn’t bark, unless he sees a dog through the fence, but always interacts well with dogs. He can be quite hyper and excited when he knows he’s going outside, and is very playful if you play with him. He can be very calm and relaxed to just spend time laying with you. Arthur has a lot of character that he shows when he creates a bond with you. He can be skittish around loud sudden noises, and isn’t a fan of thunderstorms. But with pets and a calm voice he calms right down.
An individual or a family would be great for Arthur. He can be a bit hyper for an older individual, but still relaxing to be less of a high maintenance dog.
Adoption Fee | $375
Adoption fees help cover the costs associated with rescue, such as vetting, boarding, and transportation.
Prior to adoption, dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and 4Dx tested, and they receive any necessary treatment. After adoption, they are eligible for one month of free pet insurance.

Why We Love Fostering
-
There is a special joy in seeing the transformation from fear to trust in a foster cat’s face and posture, the first time they relax and warm up to me. There is so much comedy in a litter of crazy kittens, rollicking and tumbling, learning how to be big cats. Each foster kitty has been cared for as if they were my own, and I enjoy the confidence in the feeling that they are ready for their forever home. That is the biggest difference between choosing to adopt from a small rescue rather than a shelter, and why I love volunteering. People often ask me how I can be so strong to let such sweet kitties go to adoption, but the feeling that I have space to help another is worth the emotional goodbye. Penny is the twenty-first cat I have helped, and I am not going to stop anytime soon! Fostering for Pets Alive is by far the most rewarding volunteering I have ever done.
Why We Love Fostering

It has been so lovely to have an animal with us again. We have noticed a boost to their mood. It is great to be able to open our door to an animal in need, it is very rewarding watching the kitty make progress with us and coming out of their shells. Pets Alive have been very helpful with any issues, and we never feel like we are alone if we need help.
