About Sunshine
True to her border collie roots, Sunshine is a ball of energy ready for adventures! She loves exploring the outdoors and would be an awesome hiking or running buddy!
She absolutely loves meeting new people and welcomes them with her happy smile. She adores playing with toys and would love to have someone throw the ball for her! She is a bit hesitant about meeting other dogs. She would love the opportunity to play with other dogs, but she can sometimes get carried away and come off a little bit strong. The other dog would need to match her energy of play and they would need to be monitored to make sure Sunshine is sticking to proper play etiquette.
Sunshine is a more assertive dog and does not tend to get along with other assertive/leader type dogs. She also prefers to be fed away from other dogs as she tends to guard her food from other dogs out of fear of them taking it away from her.
Sunshine does really well with the crate and is in a great routine of going into her crate for meals and anytime she needs to relax. She also does well being in the crate if being left alone for a few hours.
She is also fully house-trained and hasn’t had any accidents in the house. She loves her walks, but still needs reminders not to pull – especially if she sees a squirrel! She will also need a bit of help with her manners as she tends to get excited and jump up on people, and mouth to get more affection.
When she is not playing with her toys or out on her walks, she loves to relax on her bed! She has definitely discovered the finer things in life like cozy beds and blankets and loves to curl up for a nice nap.
This sweet girl is looking for an adventure buddy that will continue helping her with her training, and give her a safe and loving home to relax in – in return she promises to always keep you on track with your fitness goals, and reward you with her gorgeous Sunshiney smile!
