About Scotty

Scotty is a little ray of sunshine in a perfect little package! He absolutely adores playing with his ball and gets the happy zoomies when you play with him. He is a super smart little boy and has already learned ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘shake a paw’, ‘lay down’ and ‘roll over’ – this is on top of his perfect marks in house training as well! He loves to learn and is very food motivated but will need reminders to keep his nose off the counter and table as he tends to always be on the hunt for a snack. He loves his walks, and we think would greatly appreciate outdoor adventures or a nice backyard of his own to run around and play! He is still working on his leash manners and tends to get a bit excited and pull his leash, but he is learning to slow down and smell the roses. He does have a keen interest in squirrels so cats might not be his favourite either.

Don’t be fooled by his outgoing energy, Mr. Scotty also loves to be held and cuddled. After a good play session, he is zonked and looking for a lap to curl up in for a good nap! He is also doing well with his crate and has learned to go in on his own after some training.

Scotty has shown a little bit of fear towards men on walks, but this has generally been when they are wearing a hat or hoodie or are zooming by on a bicycle. He loves meeting new people and greeting anyone who will give him love and pets, and people love him right back – and what’s not to love about this little man?!

Scotty was found in very rough shape in Barbados. He was very thin and not feeling well – but since arriving in Canada and getting some love, care, and some yummy snacks, Scotty has been thriving!

Scotty is loving his new life in Canada and is now ready to find his forever family!
