About Boots and Snicklefits

Hello! We’re Boots and Snicklefits: a bonded pair of senior felines who are in search of a furever home. Our age may be high, but don’t let that fool you. We are absolute kittens at-heart.

Regardless of what we have endured throughout our lives, we still have plenty of love and affection to give to our future companions.

Boots is a very loving, kind and cuddly girl who loves ear and chin scritches, and being pet for hours. She will soak up all the attention and still come back for more! Boots also loves to lounge around and sleep but will come running if you call her name.

Snicklefits is a sweet, gentle soul who loves to be brushed for hours on-end. She loves to rub up against your leg, too. She enjoys being picked up for snuggles and is sooo soft and warm. Snicklefits loves sleeping on soft fluffy things and is a master of hide-and-seek.

Our foster mom says that we would thrive in a household with no other pets or children, and one where we would have the chance to soak up every last second of attention. We want to be around our companions at all times!

If you are interested in welcoming us into your home, you can apply to adopt us here! All inquiries involving us can be sent to petsalivecats@gmail.com.

Why We Love Fostering

  • There is a special joy in seeing the transformation from fear to trust in a foster cat’s face and posture, the first time they relax and warm up to me. There is so much comedy in a litter of crazy kittens, rollicking and tumbling, learning how to be big cats. Each foster kitty has been cared for as if they were my own, and I enjoy the confidence in the feeling that they are ready for their forever home. That is the biggest difference between choosing to adopt from a small rescue rather than a shelter, and why I love volunteering. People often ask me how I can be so strong to let such sweet kitties go to adoption, but the feeling that I have space to help another is worth the emotional goodbye. Penny is the twenty-first cat I have helped, and I am not going to stop anytime soon! Fostering for Pets Alive is by far the most rewarding volunteering I have ever done.

Why We Love Fostering

  • I have always loved animals and I spoil my own pets enough, so I figured "Why not try fostering?" That's when everything changed. I found that fostering is incredibly rewarding, because not only do you care and love each cat that comes into your home, but you get to send them to their furever homes and see the adopter’s faces light up when they meet them. Building the foundation of the kitties is what makes fostering such a wonderful experience. There is truly nothing better.
